One of our favourite flavour flaves in the world of street art – OX is having is having his first solo exhibition at The Tate in Glebe which opens on the 12th November!

A UK born illustrator and painter, OX lives and works in sunny Sydney Australia. Alternating practice between the studio and street, OX uses psychedelic pop colour to counter point dark humour. A combination of ambiguous text and imagery explore the romance of obsession, desire and addiction.

Ox King Takeaway is an exhibition of the 13 secret spices, dirty pleasures and our addiction to the unnatural, crammed into a poorly sealed fluro wrapper. Takeaway looks the way we consume modern art in the Internet age. Fast food art, cooked quickly, served daily, clean food, good taste!

A new series of large-scale paintings and paper work accompany the launch of Ox Kings new zine detailing work from the street and studio from the past year.

Ox King Takeaway opens November 12th 6pm and will continue over the weekend of the 15th and 16th. TATE Gallery. The TOXTETH / 345 Glebe PT. RD. Glebe, Sydney City.
